This Privacy Policy describes how Homemate Cyprus Ltd and its Affiliates (“we” or “us”) collects, uses, or otherwise processes Personal Data.

For the purposes of EU Privacy Law, depending on the type of Personal Data processing described in this Privacy Policy, Homemate Cyprus Ltd may be operating as a sole or joint Controller. If operating as joint Controllers, both entities jointly determine the means and purposes of the processing of your Personal Data. What this means for you is that you can exercise your rights against either of the joint Controllers by contacting either company as set out below.

 

Purpose

This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you how we collect and process Personal Data that you provide to us when using our website, when relying on our services or when collaborating with us. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

We might collect your personal data only if:
• we have your consent;
• the data is necessary to execute a contract such as to fulfill a purchase;
• it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation;
• it is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another person;
• it is justified by our legitimate interest of the company, of your legitimate interest or other’s.

Personal information is defined as being any information which can be linked to an identified or identifiable individual. Simply, if any information can be linked to you it becomes personal information and we therefore take great care when collecting and processing such information in order to protect the privacy of our users.

 

The Data Protection Regulation

Homemate Cyprus Ltd processes personal data as per General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679. We, therefore, have a legal duty to respect and protect any personal data we collect from you and we will abide by such duty. We take all safeguards necessary to prevent unauthorized access and we do not pass on your details collected from you, to any third party unless you give us your consent to do so or unless we are obliged to do so as per the law.
This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. Have your personal information deleted, if such deletion is permissible by law and/or will not prejudice our position at law.

 

What personal data do we collect?

If you are a website visitor, we collect various types of information on you such as contact or feedback information and web page download information. In different parts of this website you will have the option to submit personal data (e.g. e-mail address, name, contact number and any additional data in a request). The submission of such data occurs on the basis of a freely chosen, explicit and voluntary option and entails acquisition of the sender’s email address, which is necessary to reply to any request, as well as the acquisition of such additional personal data included.

If you are a visitor in one of our stores, and employee or a collaborator, we might collect images of the CCTV system we have installed in our premises for securing our premises.

If you are a customer that has purchased a product or a service from us, we might collect your name, address and phone number.
If you are an employee we might keep your name, address, personal communication details such as phone and home address, your CV, your diplomas, ID number, social insurance number and IBAN number and any other financial information. If you are a candidate for recruitment we might keep the CV and the corresponding cover letter you have shared with us.

If you are a collaborator or supplier, we might keep your name, address, contact details and any other financial information will be necessary for our business purposes.

 

What do we do with your personal data?

The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve your shopping experience at Homemate Cyprus Ltd. We use the information to handle orders, deliver products and services, process payments, communicate with you about orders, products, services and promotional offers, update our records and generally maintain your accounts with us, display content such as customer reviews and recommend merchandise that might be of interest to you.

Your personal data is processed by persons who have been specifically appointed by Homemate Cyprus Ltd and, if necessary, also by data processors, even external, appointed by Homemate Cyprus Ltd itself. What is the scope of communication and disclosure of your personal data?

Homemate Cyprus Ltd, for the Contractual Purposes referred to in this notice, may communicate your personal data to subjects that perform services functional to the management of its requests, and in particular to the following categories of subjects located within the European Union and, within the limits set out in this privacy policy, outside the European Union, (a) providers of assistance services, tax and legal advice, (b) IT service providers, (c) companies of the group to which Homemate Cyprus Ltd belongs, ( d) subjects and authorities whose right of access to your personal data is expressly recognized by law, regulations or provisions issued by the competent authorities. Depending on the circumstances, these recipients will process your personal data as data controllers or data processors.

Homemate Cyprus Ltd, for the purposes of legitimate interest referred to in this notice, may communicate your personal data to parties who perform services functional to these purposes and, in particular, to the following categories of subjects located within the European Union and, within the limits set out in this privacy policy, outside the European Union, to (a) providers of assistance services, tax and legal advice, (b) IT service providers, (c) subject assignee companies or branch of company, potential purchasers of Homemate Cyprus Ltd and companies resulting from possible mergers, demergers or other transformations of Homemate Cyprus Ltd.

 

Will your data be transferred abroad?

Your personal data may be transferred outside the national territory to countries located in the European Union. Should your personal data be transferred to countries outside the EU this shall occur exclusively in compliance with the appropriate and adequate guarantees for the purpose of the extended transfer in accordance with the applicable legislation and in particular article 27 of the Data Protection Act and articles 45 and 46 of the GDPR.

 

How long do we keep your data?

We will only store your personal data for the length of time required for the purpose for which it is collected.
Any data collected under the lawful basis of consent will be deleted when you withdraw your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any given time you desire.
Any data related to your employment will be deleted 3 years after the termination of the corresponding employment agreement.
Any data regarding employment candidates will be deleted 6 months after the corresponding vacancy fulfillment unless you have otherwise consented.
We keep your financial information for payment purposes and we will delete that data 6 years after the corresponding transaction.
We keep the CCTV images of our premises for the necessary period to ensure the security of the people visiting, working or studying in our premises and to secure our infrastructure and assets for unlawful actions.

 

Your Rights

GDPR grants specific rights, summarized below, which you can in principle exercise free of charge, subject to statutory exceptions. These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal Personal Data about another person, or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. •  Right to withdraw consent

Wherever we rely on your consent, you will be able to withdraw that consent at any time you choose and at your own initiative by logging in to your account on our website (if you have one) or by contacting us at info@homemate.com.cy. of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the collection and processing of your data based on your consent up until the moment where you withdraw your consent. Please note that we may have other legal grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those set out in this Privacy Policy.

•  Right to access and rectify your data

You have the right to access, review, and rectify your Personal Data. You may be entitled to ask us for a copy of your information, to review or correct it if you wish to rectify any information like your name, email address, passwords and/or any other preferences, you can easily do so by logging in to your account on our website (if you have one) or by contacting us at info@homemate.com.cy. may also request a copy of the Personal Data processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

•  Right to erasure

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to erasure of your Personal Data processed by us as described in this Privacy Policy in case it is no longer needed for the purposes for which the Personal Data was initially collected or processed or in the event you have withdrawn your consent or objected to processing as described in this Privacy Policy and no other legal ground for processing applies. Our site has a number of links to other local and international organizations and agencies.
